Leucoderma is a disease of white spots , patches that are painless on the body and can expand if no treatment is done on time. Leucoderma are caused by loss of pigmentation your skin. In addition to white spots and patches it is a social stigma for the people. Leucoderma is not a contagious disease. The white spots are due to imbalance of melanin in the body. People with darker skin usually have more patches because dark skin contains more melanin.
Leucoderma Treatment
Take the following recommended remedies as a treatment for Leucoderma
- Have salt-free diet. However, rock salt may be permitted in minute quantity.
- Protect the skin from exposure to heat
- Apply Sandalwood (chandan) pack on the patches
- Apply the juice of ‘bathua’ known as goose foot extracted from the leaves for about four times a day
- Soak seeds of ‘Babchi” in ginger juice for 72 hours. Remove their husk, dry and powder, and apply on patches
